Record Revirginizer Repair Kit Gives Your Old Vinyl A Facelift

Record Revirginizer Repair Kit Gives Your Old Vinyl a Facelift

For the younger generation reading this website, you probably won't remember hearing music via a vinyl LP record. The delicate task of taking it out of its slim cardboard case, resting it gingerly on the record player and placing that needle at JUST the right place to hear the song you wanted. Records and record players have been replaced by CD's, however there are still a number of people that not only play their records, but collect and preserve them as well.

For those of us who do remember listening to music on records, we remember the hissing, popping and screeching sounds that would play in the background of the music. As with anything else, the more the record is played, the more it scratches and wears down. With the new Record Revirginizer, invented by Cary Stoddard from Australia, you can clean your records and get rid of the background noises. It may not be the kind of standard "new gadget" that you might be thinking of, but for record collectors, buyers and sellers out there, it is definitely a tool that can help restore records to their original luster and sound.

According to the inventor, Cary Stoddard, most of these distortions are a result of tiny particles like mold, dust, oils, skin, and smoke becoming embedded in the grooves of the record. The conventional record brushes on the market often can't remove these tiny particles because they lack the capabilities to get into the grooves like the Record Revirginizer can.

When a record plays, the rubbing of the needle on the record creates just enough friction and heat to make the vinyl sticky. When the vinyl gets sticky, these tiny particles tend to stick to it. The Record Revirginizer is a non-toxic, half-liquid/half-gel that works by pouring a small amount all over the record. You let it set and dry, and then attach one of the included pull tabs on the edge. Grab that pull tab, and the dried product pulls off of the record in one piece. It grabs all of the tiny particles that get stuck in the grooves of the record, and pulls them off along with it. Each bottle cleans both sides of 16 standard-sized records.

The product is available online, and you can purchase it for about $54, plus shipping and handling. Visit www.recordrevirginizer.com for more information.
