Nitro RC Cars are great fun to use but they are also a committed serious hobby that will need some time to – Maintain, fix and clean a nitro car. But this does not take too long to do and is a requirement to keep the car working properly and to maximize the performance.

Here's what you need to know about starting out with nitro rc cars. Firstly there are some adjustments when you get a new nitro model even so they are sold as ( RTR) ready to run, on a nitro car there is a engine needle setting sometimes there are 2 on pro versions and the instructions you get normally have details on this for that particular model and is pre factory set but these often need to be adjusted and fine tuned regularly. With the needle it only needs to be turned a little, about a mm or so counter clockwise at a time and this should get you started and can be fine tuned until the nitro car runs smoother.

Also check all the screws are tight as these DO come loose all the time and if you lose a screw the car might not operate properly or worse you could lose a small part and then the car will need a spare part and be hassle for you.

As any new nitro radio controlled car there is an engine Break-in procedure for the engine. This means as it is a new engine you have to slowly run the first 4-6 tanks of fuel and no more than a few minutes each run, also make sure the body shell is off when doing this so it allows air to flow keeping the engine cool .

Also a important note is to make sure you only keep it at half throttle, with no revving the car or you will damage the engine and limit the performance as the engine must not get too hot, which is why you have to be patient and follow the above.

This is only a short time to do and believe me it's worth the extra little effort.

Priming the engine with nitro fuel is quite easy and there are a couple of ways to do this. As you pull-start the engine on the nitro car, look at the clear fuel line this is a clear plastic tube so you can check to see if the fuel is reaching the carburettor, if the fuel does not flow all way though then first check there are no kinks in the pipe anywhere, if this is ok then you can prime the engine by putting one finger over the exhaust or air intake for only a few seconds ! While pull-starting the car until you see the fuel reach the engine. Make sure finger is not over exhaust for long or you will flood the engine and lock it up.

If this does not work then i find this option easier :grab the fuel line end that connects to the exhaust and wiggle it off and blow down the pipe and this will force the fuel in, push the pipe back on and that's it.

If you do flood the engine on your nitro rc car the pull-start will become stiff and hard to pull.

Do not pull until you have unflooded the engine, now to do this you simply remove the glow plug from the heat head sink and turn the car upside down, then pull-start the engine a few times to expel the excess fuel out of the combustion chamber. Replace the glow plug and start over again.

Nitro rc cars are fast and can hit 70 mph and can do flips and jumps and great fun to race with others.

shanked bits.
• Always try to work with the table at mid-chest for maximum visibility and control.
• If you must use an auger-type bit with a screw-type lead (not recommended), always pre-drill a pilot
hole that's the same diameter as the largest diameter of your screw lead to prevent potential grabbing.
This is especially true when working with hardwoods. Auger bits with spur-type (non-screw) pilots
are preferred.
• If you must create a hole that's larger than an available hole saw (our recommendation for boring large holes), use a scroll saw, bandsaw, saber saw, hand-operated saw or routing set-up. Shopsmith Does Not Recommend the use of adjustable, beam-type circle cutters or flycutters. These tools are very dangerous, even when your workpiece is clamped solidly to the worktable.

Canon PowerShot S90 is designed for photography enthusiasts and it comes at a premium. The camera gives tons of features though; you won't find such good semimanual and manual shooting modes. The photo quality and lens are stellar. Performance however, is a bit let down, especially when you compare it with a dSLR.

Design: Canon powershot s90 has a box and circle design. The body of the camera is flat and there is nothing on there to grip the device. The casing is made up of black metal which doesn't make it any easier to hold.

Photo quality: While making this Canon powershot s90 review, we found the photo quality is quite impressive considering this is a compact camera. But just like most cameras, the photo quality dips when you go beyond ISO 400. The fine details start to get softer here. On the bright side, there is minimal noise on the photos and the noise suppression doesn't destroy all the details till ISO 3200. Canon says that the low light performance has been improved for this camera and we found that to be true in our tests. Small prints are possible up to ISO 1600 which is really good.

Performance: This is the weakest part of the Canon Powershot S90 but certainly not a deal breaker. It is just that our expectations grew a bit when we saw the features of the camera. It takes 1.8 seconds for the camera to wake up and get ready for first shot. Shot-to-shot times in high quality JPEG format is the same but shooting raw further extends it to 3.4 seconds. Shutter lag is 0.5 second in bright lights and in dim light conditions, it is 0.6 second.

Features: There are 25 shooting modes on the Canon Powershot S90 which mainly consists of specialty scene modes. Auto mode is Canon's scene recognizer Smart Auto feature. There is a movie mode too but it is just VGA quality which will be a turn of for HD fans. You also cannot use optical zoom while recording. Some shooting modes give you more to control like Shutter priority, Program AE, Custom, Manual and Aperture priority.

Dell Ultrasharp U2711 Monitor Review

Dell's UltraSharp U2711 is among the most expensive monitors review at www.techtist.com and two of the best performing monitors we have seen; but at $1,049, its price will be prohibitive to some buyers.

The 27-inch Dell UltraSharp U2711 is a lot like a larger version of the U2410 Dell launched a few weeks ago - in fact, is larger than 3 inches, at least for the screen. Like the U2410, the U2711 has a matt black chassis with a touch of gray light that passes through the center of the panel. The panel is 1.75 inches deep, however, the back of the screen - which houses the backlight, connection options and ventilation system - extends another 1.5 inches, which the depth of full-screen monitor to about 3.4 inches. The width of the panel measures 25.4 inches long and the surface of the screen itself is a bit dull, matte and smooth. The bezel measures 0.8 inches long everywhere.

Graphics There are six presets to choose from: standard, multimedia, games, hot, cool, Adobe RGB, sRGB, and Custom. Your video presets are: Movie, Game and Wildlife. The presets do not change anything but the balance of red, green and blue, therefore, how well each institution is subjective. There are options to adjust the hue, sharpness and color saturation as well as additional options to configure the OSD to remain on screen until a minute (useful for anyone who will spend a good amount of time for calibration).

Software Crashes – How To Recover And Prevent Them

Today we have a lot of software on our computers and we all need to know how to take care of our computer as well as manage the hidden danger of a crash.

From this a box will appear and show you all the programs running. Note that at least one will have a non-responsive indication. Try clicking on the program listed and click END TASK. Close the dialog box and see if your computer is working again. Pray it is! If it does not respond, then try the dialog box again and see if there is another program causing trouble and End Task on it as well.

This should solve about 98% of your computer crashes. If your computer is not responding with all this, you can try restarting. Switching off the entire power is the last resort and should not be done unless everything else has not worked.

To prevent computer crashes, you need to take care of your computer and do some maintenance. First thing to check is that you have room on your hard drive. Windows likes to have space and will not work if you do not keep the total usage down on your hard drive. Never go over 70% usage of your total hard drive space. To check usage, go to Start, right click on My Computer, then click on your hard drive letter and Properties and see what amount of space is available.

You may need to delete or move to another hard drive or a CD any large audio or video files and remove software programs that you do not use. Do that by choosing "Add or Remove Programs" icon from the Control Panel from Start Menu.

You also should make sure you have enough Memory or RAM (Random Access Memory). You can help out your computer by not opening too many programs at once if your RAM is low. To find out how much RAM your computer has, select Control Panel from the Start Menu, Double Click System Tools, and then open the System Information tab. The total and available memory is listed towards the bottom of the right panel when you click on System Summary. Software that uses the most RAM are those that include a lot of graphics, video or sound capabilities. You can keep these to a minimum on your hard drive by burning to a CD and allowing your hard drive space to be saved.

Another quick tip is to back up your hard drive regularly. There are notes on how to do this online and it is very important and should be done consistently. This way you will not lose a lot of work should you have to turn off power or restart your computer due to a crash.

The services for such non-destructive testing (NDT) are Eddy Current, Dye Penetrant Testing, Radiography and Visual Testing besides Magnetic Testing and Ultrasonic Testing. Magnetic Testing methods are generally used for the examination of faults in welds of pipelines and cracks in blades for turbines among others. This form of testing utilizes the magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL), the Portable Yoke or the Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM) techniques. The ACFM is effective equally in ferrous and non-ferrous samples as well as their alloys. The ACFM can analyze samples through their coatings, as no direct contact is necessary. On the other hand, the MFL is a tool suited to steel structures only and involves the creation of a powerful magnetic field in the steel structure. The flux lines are next studied so as to detect likely pitted areas and those that may have cracks. There is an advanced version of this equipment called the Inline Inspection Tool or the MFL-ILI in which the tool travels inside the pipeline and cleans and collects the information. Other magnetic testing methods use multiple sensors to increase the resolution and hence the accuracy of the results. Ultrasonic testing methods used in the industry relate to measuring of the thickness of the samples besides more importantly corrosion monitoring and the assessment of the oxide that may have built up. Some of the services in use are the Electromagnetic Acoustic Transmission or EMAT, the Phased Array or PA and the Time of Flight Diffraction or TOFD. The TOFD is used to evaluate cracks in welds accurately. It uses a set of probes that are mounted on a buggy that travels along the weld inspecting and records the data while it's on the move. This technique is totally automated.

Electronic Gadgets Famous to Teens

I know from experience that my teen wants every electronic gadget that is out there. There are so many to chose from and they are so similar even. There are just different makers and they look slightly different. One popular gadget is the iPod, this being popular with teens, adults, children, everyone. My daughter has been begging for one of these, this also being one of the more expensive gadgets to buy and the one that I would be most upset about if she lost! The iPod being great though because of the capability to load tons of music onto it and take it everywhere. But again, the easiest one to be lost or stolen.

Another gadget that teens want are cell phones, Iâ€™ve already given in and bought one for my daughter. She now wants one that takes pictures and has Internet capabilities. I have not gone that far yet, however having a cell phone is the ideal teen item. All teens want one and so many already have one even. The pricing plans vary and my daughter so far has stayed within her minutes. We added her to our family talk plan, so the increased cost wasnâ€™t too much, compared to getting a completely separate line. The phone a lot of times can be received for free through your cell phone provider to further cut the cost of getting your teen a cell phone. All teens want and I think parents too, is the Nintendo DS and the Game-boy Advance.

My daughter has both of these, every teen wants one of these because they are able to link the games up to other users and then text message back and forth and play games together. Also, Nintendo Dogs and Nintendo Cats is still the most popular games out there for these hand held, portable game systems. Teens want these because if they donâ€™t have a cell phone or can not use one at school they can use these to text message, draw pictures to one another, and play the games against each other. These are small, but expensive and so are the games.

But the graphics are really good and the cases come in different colors and there are lots of accessories to go with the game systems. lastly, teens definitely want the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, or the X-Box. The systems are much more expensive, even more so than a cell phone. But, they can play DVDs on all three, so if you do not have a DVD player you could always use one of these game systems as one. Every teen wants these, especially the Wii, because of the inter-activeness of the system and the very cool games that offered.

One minuteâ€™s worth of cranking will give you playback of 10 minutes â€“ although there is USB charging too for when your arm gets tired. Including shipping, itâ€™ll cost 55 euros, which is around 43 pounds, but consider what youâ€™ll save on batteries.

Husqvarna solar powered automatic lawnmower.

It might set you back a cool 2000 pounds but working autonomously, the lawnmower will cut up to 2300 square metres of grass and can be programmed to come on at certain times or days of the week. Users can define the cutting area by laying a metal wire around the edge of their garden. The auto mower also has sensors in the device so it can avoid garden furniture. Solving the problem of collecting the grass, the motorâ€™s three sharp blades cut the grass short enough as to scatter it back on the lawn. The mower will cut for around 40 minutes, and then charge for 40 minutes in its charging station, however the solar panels on its back mean that on a sunny day the device will be able to stay out cutting for up to 50 percent longer.

The Efergy meter is a compact monitor that allows the user to see electricity consumption in real time in your home. Made up of three components: a portable display monitor, a sensor which is clipped around the power cable feeding electricity into the premises, and a transmitter which is connected to the sensor and which sends the information to the monitor the data on the screen of the Efergy meter is refreshed every 5 seconds, so the impact on power usage of turning an electrical appliance on or off can be seen immediately. The Efergy meter costs 44.95.

The Standby Buster.

You want to turn your television off at the main, but the sockets at the back and out of the reach of your arm. The Stanby buster basically gives you a remote for your plug. The easy to use, remote-controlled electrical socket lets you switch off multiple appliances completely rather than leaving them in standby mode â€“ all from a single button press. Sockets are simply plugged into existing power outlets allowing any connected appliances to be switched on and off using the remote control. Standby Buster uses Radio Frequency (RF) rather than Infra-Red (IR) to switch appliances on and off, so it is not impaired by objects in its way.

When I was growing up the most exciting toys I came across were conkers and marbles. However great these may have been they seem to have been shunted right out of the way with the wealth of gadget toys that are available these days. The range and variety of gadgets on offer is incredible. Whatâ€™s even more incredible is the level of sophistication that goes into some of these toys.

The level of technology in some of the toys available on the market is phenomenal. Many of these mainstream toys are cheap enough for everyone to own one and they seem to offer greater levels of technology than that which got man to the moon in 1969. Here are a few of the genius ideas I have come across that in my opinion rival the Apollo 11 for ingenuity.

Flying alarm Clock

The flying alarm clock is an ingenious way of making you leap out of bed. When the alarm sounds the alarm clock rises from the platform upon which it is placed and flies around the room. Complete with a helicopter style rotor blade you have to get up and catch it to switch it off. What a brilliant idea! I could well have done with one of these when I was younger and even now. The most amazing thing is that they only sell for around 20 pounds. What a bargain â€“ perfect for a birthday gift.

USB Rocket launcher

USB technology is very recent. You can now buy a number of items that can be run by sticking them into your USB port. One of the most enjoyable of these gadgets is a USB rocket launcher. Equipped with a number of foam darts that can be shot at office work colleagues it is great fun. The rocket launcher sits on your desk and shoots darts out when instructed to do so by the computer. The best thing about this is that it is possible to hijack someone elseâ€™s. So if your friend is on the same network as you then you can tap in to their system and aim their darts at them â€“ genius! I used to have to make do with paper darts â€“ not anymore.

Electric paper plane launcher

Speaking of paper planes it is now possible to purchase a paper plane launcher. The products makers claim that the machine can launch planes at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour. Wow â€“ I think. I have to admit that this one is a bit of a puzzler to me and I have to admit I have not forked out the money to buy one. It sounds like the mother of all paper cut inducing machines. But fun nevertheless. I bet you could really achieve some distance for your plane with one of these. In my day we had to make use of our own throwing skill.

Motorised strap on skates

Yes thatâ€™s right motorised skates do actually exist! You can buy a pair of them, and youâ€™ll definitely want two (unless you only have one leg), for around 100 pounds. There has surely never been a product that is more likely to kill as many people as these will.

Nevertheless it is a great concept â€“ despite being bloody scary. Called the iShoes critics have called them the fastest trip to casualty you will ever make. I for one will definitely be trying these out though. They work with batteries that apparently last for up to 7 miles in one charge. The wheels on these skates are much bigger than those that are fixed to traditional skates. In my day we had to settle for riding around in a shopping trolley with a wonky wheel.

Seven Awesome Kitchen Gadgets

Everyone who cooks can use some of these practical, time saving kitchen tools. While you can get by with a bare bones kitchen and a few old pots and pans, a lot of dishes are harder to make or more time consuming to prepare. The items in this list can free up some of your time, help you make delicious meals, store leftovers and even make the kitchen a fun place. So without further ado, here are some of my favorite kitchen gadgets. I hope you like them.

1. Bread Maker

Imagine getting up in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread, ready for you to take out of the machine and slice up for toast or for lunch sandwiches. And all you had to do was load the ingredients the night before, then set the timer.

2. Automatic Coffee Maker

This goes well with the bread maker. Add coffee grounds and water, set the clock and have coffee waiting for you when you stumble out of bed in the morning. Rise and shine!

3. High Quality Knife Set

I used to make do with an old set of mismatched knives given to me without a knife block. Some of the handles were loose, and they had to be stored in a drawer. The new set sits on the counter top. The edges stay sharp longer, and the set contains knives for most needs. More room in the drawer, too.

4. Plastic Food Containers

With a set of containers for food storage, saving leftovers is much easier. Many have lids with vents, for use in microwaves. Another way to use them is to freeze food for future use. They look better than old margarine and yogurt containers, too.

5.Immersion Blender

These hand-held gadgets can be placed in large drinking glasses, pots, or mixing bowls. You can mix drinks, baking ingredients, gravies or even whip potatoes. They take up less space and are easier to clean than traditional blenders as well.

6. Toaster Oven

A toaster oven can cook toasted items with toppings, like garlic bread and mini pizzas, as well as make toast. Small baking projects are possible too, if you donâ€™t want to or canâ€™t use a larger oven.

7.Sandwich Grill

For grilled cheese, tuna melts and patty melts, these grills seal the edge of the sandwich so cheese and other things canâ€™t leak out.

These are some of the kitchen gadgets I like to use myself. For the larger items, maybe you can borrow one to test drive it before you buy. That is what I did with the bread maker. Our food containers, coffee maker and hand blender see daily use, and the toaster oven and sandwich grill once or twice a week. All in all, a good investment for my family. Happy cooking!
